That was wierd. Soon as he played the Ebmaj6at around the 2:09 mark, "Third Stone From the Sun" by Jimi Hendrix popped into my head. Just before he starts to say "Although your world wonders me with your majestic and superior cackling hen. Your people I do not understand, so to you I shall put an end. And you'll never hear surf music again." I love the way music can do that.

Hi David I presume the band would have to mirror those chords? The tritone sub for the V chord surely would sound awful over the Bb 13?

I am not and may never be at this level but love the videos. Worth adding for anyone who doesn’t know, David’s Pennsylvania Station Blues is a great little record. Especially pleased to see the addition of tab boxes. That’s really helpful for someone like me with some sight loss who struggles to see exactly where some of your fingers are going on the video. Finishing touch would be if you could just indicate which frets you’re on in the tab.

Great stuff, David. You have a very approachable teaching style. Chords without the root are always a challenge for ne, but that's only because I've been lazy about learning the notes on the D G and B strings and I get lost when moving away from 5th and 6th string roots. I have two of your Trufire courses (both excellent) and I'm hoping to nake your chord melody workshop. Thank you for all the free lessons you provide.

My dad, who played any instrument he touched, played a very little fingerstyle; lots of bass runs and fills, lotsa fun. He only lived to 52 (traffic accident) but I like to imagine how he'd be playing today with access to the internet and folks down at the Hamilton Pool Hall . . .
